Gypsum Board Packaging : How To Do ?

Above all, gypsum boards require a proper packaging in order to ensure product protection and staff safety.

Successful Packaging Of Plasterboard

First of all, gypsum board palets must be packed in different ways. Which means that this must be done according to their types and dimensions. Then, the sheets have to be stacked in different numbers and placed on pallets. That is to say, it is essential that some of the boards are stacked horizontally and others vertically. After the panels are placed on top of each other, the four sides are supported by other panels and packaged. In this stage, it is important to consider the special requirements of the customers and the country of export.

Gypsum Board And Discharge Instructions To Follow

Secondly, plasterboard sheets might be heavy. In fact, if proper stacking and handling procedures are not followed, they can be deformed. Therefore, handling and discharging plasterboard pallets shall use caution. Especially when stacking or working in the presence of stacked products.

Thus, since the gypsum pallets are heavy, they are carried by special vehicles, such as Forklift. However, this vehicle must be used by authorized persons only. Besides, all safety precautions must be taken carefully.

In other words, application of the procedure is very important. Not only for protection of staff but also the materials, goods and equipment. For instance, you can read the instructions to handle gypsum plaster.

Gypsum Board Sheets Storage Conditions To Consider

On the other hand, you should always store the drywall sheets flat and make sure they are supported on solid ground. Therefore, gypsum plasters should be stored in dry conditions. In fact, if they are exposed to high humidity, plasterboard products may sag or bend. Similarly, if they are not properly supported or stored, the same thing might happen.

Furthermore, gypsum products shall be stored in a warehouse. In fact, we are trying to avoid their exposure to inappropriate weather conditions. For example, a too high or too low temperatures are not good for the materials. Also exposure of plaster products to rain and other high moisture levels may result in catastrophes ! Such as water stains, discoloration, mold, paper delamination, and sag.

To avoid this kind of situation, better is to store the goods in indoor. To sum up, a good storage system is highly recommended to prevent sagging and other quality problems.
